Spanish Peaks Ranch Estates
Many times Spanish Peaks Ranch and Spanish Peaks Ranch Estates are confused. Spanish
Peaks Ranch is made up of smaller acreage parcels and has protective covenants, while
Spanish Peaks Ranch Estates has the larger thirty-five to forty acre parcels and no
protective covenants. This is the one we specialize in. At an elevation of 8800-10,200
feet, this is alpine mountain living at it zenith. Located right at the base of the
Spanish Peaks some properties abut the San Isabel National Forest, which surrounds the
area. The headwaters of the Apishipa River start in this area and run through some of
the properties of the estates. If the property you like doesn't abut the National
Forest it's only minutes to it. The area abounds with wildlife, and a myriad of
opportunities for outdoor recreational pursuits. Throughout the Estates you'll find a
tree cover of predominately aspens, spruce and Douglas firs. Some of the properties
are very steep while others have gorgeous open meadows. Some parcels do not offer year round access without a snowmobile and are used largely by summer vacationers. Throughout this area you're apt to find the off-grid, backwoods, alpine mountain hideaway, an expansive and expensive
custom made home with all the possible amenities you could imagine, and most every
living arrangement in between. If you like that high alpine mountain land, this is the
area for you.
